Birdie 4 Ball

Following on from last year’s first ever “Birdie Ball” the organising team have joined forces with Troon 41 club to organise the 2018 fund raising event - “The Birdie 4 Ball” - and we are now looking for golfers to get involved.

This is an open golf competition for teams of four and will be played on Friday 18th May over the home of both the 2017 Scottish Open and Ladies Scottish Open at Dundonald Links.

The day will commence with a celebrity briefing in the clubhouse over breakfast and coffee before the teams head out to compete for the “Birdie Trophy” in a stableford format and on a shotgun, start while various opportunities to compete will happen on the course such as beat the pro, short game tuition and buy a mulligan!

The prize giving will follow in the clubhouse and the team have been given a donation of a framed picture of Royal Troon signature 8th hole (The Postage Stamp) to auction, which has been autographed by the last four Open champions over Royal Troon – Mark Calcavecchia, Justin Leonard, Todd Hamilton & Henrik Stenson.

This will be an opportunity to invest in what is a one of a kind piece of sporting memorabilia and own a unique piece of sporting history.

The money raised will be split equally between Cancer Research UK and Ayrshire Cancer support and both charities are delighted to be associated with this fantastic event.

Should you wish to enter a team or get involved in the event through the various sponsorship options please contact Donald Paterson Chairman on [email protected]
